Youth Sunday School
This class is made up of kids age 4 on up to kindergartners. This class uses Lifeway’s “Kid’s Bible Studies For Life” which uses hands-on activities, music, video, and interactive conversations to help bring each weeks Bible lesson to a whole different level. This helps make each week more memorable for the children. There is an extended session in this same classroom that last through the duration of the church service, and we refer to this as “Preschool Church.” During this time, the days Sunday School lesson is reviewed while doing crafts, games, outside activities, snacks, etc. It is a structured, yet more relaxed time for the kids to interact with each other and with their teacher.
The toddler’s room is busy with little guys and girls whose minds are open to learn all there is to learn about the Lord. The children are taught Bible verses and they go through Bible stories in order to learn what they can do to be more Christ like. This also helps shape their heart to accept Christ love at a young age.
This class consist of boys and girls who are in the first through third grade. The children are taught life application studies. In other words, most children have heard the story of David and Goliath through Bible stories or even videos like Veggie Tales. We like to help them understand it by asking them what is the “Giant” in their lives? Or perhaps another example would be with the story of Jonah. We would ask them, “How are we, like Jonah, being disobedient toward God?” These types of questions help the children to hear the Bible stories in ways that will help them to apply it to whatever is going on in their lives. It is a wonderful opportunity to get the children to interact more with the word of God.
This class is for 4th and 5th grade students. The kids are learning from the Kids Bible Study for Life Bible Teachings. There is plenty of room for more so come on and and bring a friend.
This class is for 6th through 8th grade students who are working on focusing on their daily walk with the Lord. They talk about how their actions as Christians speak for them to the rest of the world. After all, they are called to be the salt and the light to the world.
This class is for students from the 9th grade all the up into the college age students. Currently studying out of the book of Matthew, their purpose is to help the students learn to become productive members of society, while living the way God would have them to live. The best way to do that is to teach them how to apply the word of God to their lives.
